Naga Chaitanya's Hyderabad Blackbirds Revs Up for IRL Debut

"Leading the Blackbirds is a dream come true," Chaitanya expressed. "I can't wait to inspire the next generation of Indian racing talent."

Naga Chaitanya joins a roster of celebrity team owners, including fellow actors Arjun Kapoor and John Abraham, as well as cricket legend Sourav Ganguly. Their involvement has significantly boosted the league's popularity and attracted a wider audience. Akhilesh Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of Racing Promotions Private Limited (RPPL), the organizers of the IRF, expressed his enthusiasm for Chaitanya's involvement. "Naga Chaitanya's leadership of the Hyderabad Blackbirds will elevate the league to new heights," Reddy stated. "The presence of top celebrities like Chaitanya adds a layer of excitement and attracts more fans to the sport."

The Indian Racing League 2024 kicks off on August 24 at the Madras International Circuit, followed by India's first-ever night street circuit race at the Chennai Formula Racing Circuit a week later. Hyderabad Blackbirds will compete against teams from Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, and Kolkata in the season opener.
